To further investigate the principle of justice as it
relates to the role and power of the Judicial Branch in American Government, we
are going to evaluate the extent to which the murder of Emmet Till reflects a
failure of the American justice system.
ASSIGNMENT:
Write a response to the focus question below that crystallizes your thoughts on
the kinds of failures of justice that were exposed by the Emmett Till case. Your
goal is to clearly identify your position, back that position with evidence and
then analyze and explain how your evidence supports your claim. Your paragraph
